DECEMBER 6: Cheese choice, Prepping a Christmas platter

A freshly cut slice of Gorwydd Caerphilly cheese, perfect for a Christmas platter

This slice of Gorwydd Caerphilly is described by Neals Yard Dairy as a ‘densely crumbly centre presenting fresh, lemony flavours gives way to a creamy, more mushroomy layer beneath the edible rind – the happy result of this Caerphilly being matured for longer than most Caerphilly cheeses made today’.

I was sold at ‘lemony’ 😆

I chose this Gorwydd Caerphilly cheese from @thecheeseshoptw. Sourced from Somerset, it’s hand made with raw cows milk and matured for at least four months.

Lemony, buttery with rind this cheese has earned its place on my Christmas cheese platter.

What will you be putting on yours?
