Welcome to The Lemon Grove’s Festive Kitchen and Day 4 of our Citrussy Christmas 2020 Advent Calendar. ⁣

Craving some Mediterranean sunshine and flavour in a day spent under leaden skies and chilly but refreshing breezes, I felt it was a good time to taste test my home made Vin d’ Orange (vodka, simple sugar syrup, oranges, preferably Sevilles, but Navels work too).

It’s ready to enjoy but I’ll wait for another week or two before having a proper glass, neat over ice or with sparkling wine.

With snow covering lots of Europe, Scotland and northern England and perhaps snow here in southern England possible this Christmas, I’ll be ready to decant and share this sweet, liquid sunshine 🌞
