Devon, England is fast-becoming a serious foodie destination and what better way to experience a new place than through the food and drink produced by its surrounding land and seascape.

Holly and David Jones, co-owners of Manna from Devon Cooking School in picturesque Kingswear, are now offering food-focused holidays, giving visitors a taste of the local area.

Known for its wealth of artisan producers, sustainably-caught seafood and rich green farmland, the Dart estuary is firmly on the gastromap in Devon, a county recently voted the UK’s most desirable place to live (according to a recent survey in Country Life magazine).

Having become deeply entrenched in the South Devon food and drink scene for over ten years, David and Holly have announced new foodie breaks. “Whilst we love travelling and exploring cuisines in far-off places, we know we’re extremely lucky to live by the River Dart,” says David.

“These breaks are a chance for us to share our passion for local produce and show off what Devon does best by exploring this fantastic area and teaching visitors how to cook its great produce. Each course is a hands-on way to engage with local food and experience it from source to mouth, providing visitors with an extraordinary insight into the amazing food we enjoy in South Devon.”

Each four-night break includes daily cooking classes, an early morning visit to Brixham Fish Market and other local producers including Sharpham Vineyard and cheese dairy, plus coastal walks, a picnic boat cruise along the River Dart and delicious meals at Manna from Devon.
